‘Information technology is a major part of our lives. It has been for some time now and is destined to be well into the future. If I had to find one word to summarise what technology means to me it would be ”opportunity“. This is why I have chosen Information Technology, and more specifically software development as my profession.
When I first started using a computer in the early 80s it become clear to me that technology was going to be ”the great enabler“. For the first time in history, a tool existed that enabled people to explore, create and learn in ways that would have ordinarily been inconceivable. It was this insight that ultimately led me to focus on developing software applications that unleashed this potential. And in my experience so far, the opportunities are endless.
I believe that one of the main reasons Enigma Interactive has grown into the development firm it is today is its ability to deliver innovative solutions that solve real problems. With technology being a bombarding influence in our lives, the applications and experiences that we deliver must be focused. They are designed to do one job and do it well. Customers and end users don't have time to waste learning obfuscated software applications or be subjected to bloated online campaigns. They know they have a problem or a need and they want to solve it fast and cost effectively.
I have always been fortunate to see solutions and opportunities clearly in mind. Just sitting with a client and discussing their project at an initial meeting will bring about a world of possibilities. But my vision is only the start. If the project is going to be a success, the vision and the pathway forward must be understood by the client. This is why education is so important when we engage with a new client. The client looks to us for a solution but it is our responsibility as software development professionals to make sure the client understands why we are doing it and what the benefits will be.
Enigma Interactive is a constantly evolving business. It has to be. The industry in which we operate changes and expands daily. Personally, this is what excites me. This is what keeps the drive levels high. If you are looking for a dedicated team of software development professionals that value what they do and the people they do it for then you can't go past Enigma Interactive. I personally guarantee it.’
